Be Mindful of How we Address One Another

I was in class that fateful Friday afternoon teaching my students when she raised her hand to ask a question. I permitted her and she asked a rather too simple question that I supposed she should know the answer. I had already covered that topic the previous week. "Will you sit down there! With your Ugly face! Olodo!" was the only answer I gave her. The whole class bursted into laughter and she looked embarrassed. I went on with my lesson but felt somewhat guilty over what I had said. I finished my class and left. On Sunday, I went to Church. The preacher was talking about the tongue and its power. He spoke about how you could bring others down by what you say. I remembered what happened on Friday and became guilty. I swore I was going to apologize to her on Monday when I got to the class. On Monday afternoon, I went to the class but I didn't see her. I asked after her from her coursemates but they didn't seem to know who I was talking about. I then said I was looking

The efforts they’re making, even the supreme sacrifices some of the men are paying in other

After trying the knot, A Nigeria man has filed for divorce!

Weeks later after tying the knot, a Nigerian man has filed for divorce over his wife's rude behaviour towards his mother. His wife and mother had a physical exchange at their wedding reception that saw both parties slap each other. Not heeding to appeals from his mother to forgive, the man is hellbent on ending things with his estranged wife. A marriage of two days has hit the rocks. It happened that a couple from the groom's mother's side graced the occasion at a time edibles were finished. A portion of food the bride left for her parents was the only delicacy available. The mother-in-law had approached her daughter-in-law and whispered to her, appealing to get some of the food to give the couple as it would be unfair if they got nothing after coming from afar. The bride refused bluntly, saying the food was for her parents. After unsuccessfully pleading with her son's wife, the mother-in-law used a plate to scoop some food herself but the bride took back the food and p

THE MARRIAGE SECRETS

✍🏾1 Everyone you marry has a weakness. So if you focus on your spouse's weakness you can't get the best out of his strength. 2.  Everyone has a dark history. No one is an angel. When you get married or you want to get married stop digging into someone's past. What matters most is the present life of your partner. Old things have passed away. Forgive and forget. Focus on the present and the future. 3.  Every marriage has its own challenges. Marriage is not a bed of roses. Every good marriage has gone through its own test of blazing fire. True love proves in times of challenges. Fight for your marriage. Make up your mind to stay with your spouse in times of need. Remember the vow For better for worse. In sickness and in health be there. 4.  Every marriage has different levels of success. Don't compare your marriage with any one else. We can never be equal. Some will be far, some behind. To avoid marriage stresses, be patient, work hard and with time your marriage dreams

THE VALUE OF EACH OTHER!

THE VALUE OF EACH OTHER As much as the world around us tries to lure us into self-dependency, God created us for each other. For community. For a life that’s not alone. The author of Proverbs said it like this: “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭NIV We’ll all face hard times—sometimes when we least expect it. But a friend’s genuine care can mean the world, a sibling’s unconditional love can’t be replaced, and a neighbor’s practical help is priceless. We need each other more than we realize: emotionally, practically, and spiritually. If you’ve found yourself in a busy season where you’ve unintentionally neglected your true friends, Sister, daughter consin or been too busy for your real family, now is the time to reprioritize. If there’s unresolved conflict with a friend or family member, and it’s slowly deteriorating the relationship, now is the time to set aside your pride and choose to make things right. If you’re silently

GRACE

GRACE Life's In a world often filled with chaos and uncertainty, we often overlook the small pockets of grace that exist around us. Grace, in its various forms, has the power to uplift, inspire, and restore our weary souls. It's the gentle smile of a stranger, the kind gesture of a friend, or the quiet moments of self-reflection that remind us of the beauty that persists amidst the chaos. Grace can be found in the simple act of forgiveness, allowing us to release the burden of resentment and heal the wounds that weigh us down. It's this forgiving grace that sets us free and helps us move forward, leaving the shadows of the past behind. But grace extends far beyond human interactions. Look closely, and you'll find grace tucked away in the natural world. It's the delicate buds blooming after a harsh winter, the symphony of birdsong that greets us in the morning, or the soft touch of a summer breeze on a sweltering day. It's these little moments of beauty that remi
