Many people see the Bible as a resource Holy Book meant to guide the human race. Its scriptures are laced with wisdom and serve as a reference to so many things currently going on across the globe.
Like Jeremiah 17: 9 says the heart of a man is desperately wicked and deceitful, we need to understand this as it helps in the forgiveness process of the human race.
Two days ago the United States (U.S.) Department of States released its report entitled, ‘2020 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices: Nigeria.’
In the detailed report, the Department of States says there is no verifiable evidence on the reported killings of #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, last year.
The US department went on with what it considers a detailed analysis of what transpired on October 20 by saying: “Accurate information on fatalities resulting from the shooting was not available at year’s end.
Gbam, with the report of the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF STATES the Nigerian Army, the Lagos State Government and by extension Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been vindicated of being behind a fictitious massacre at the Lekki toll gate.
It is sad and reprehensible that oppositional forces orchestrated the evil distortion of facts just to get at the former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his rumoured presidential ambition.
That erroneous and deliberate attempt to twist the story caused the Former Lagos State governor, The Lagos State Government , the incumbent Governor and some other interest untold economic hardship.
Ignorant residents took to the streets to unleash unimaginable mayhem on investments believed to belong to Asiwaju Tinubu, the Lagos State Government itself was not spared as some of its public edifices were razed down. Even the family house belonging to Sanwo-Olu was not spared as well.
Like earlier stated the human heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, else how does one explain a deliberate attempt to crush the business interest of a man all on the altar of dirty politics. They did not stop there they also went further to say Tinubu and his family fled the country to evade a mob action. They tried to portray Tinubu as the personification of the DEVIL who has hijacked the growth of the Nation.
So wicked and terrible their ways are that to date Tinubu is still under their radar for false and distorted news all in a grand attempt to smear and malign the hard-earned reputation of a democrat.
What relationship Tinubu has with the protesters or the Nigerian Army at Lekki toll gate on October 20th still baffles me?
The #Endsars protest was not restricted to Lagos alone, it occurred in major cities across the Nation and yet no individual was targeted the way Tinubu was.
Today these same traducers when they see Tinubu's pictures they rush to say "Nigerians would not forgive you for the blood you shed at Lekki Toll Gate."
Which blood was shed at Lekki Toll Gate? Were Human Sacrifices offered? Was Tinubu the Chief Priest who asked for human blood for gratification?
Today the United States has released a detailed report vindicating the Nigerian Army that there is no verifiable evidence anywhere that a single soul was lost that day.
To date, no one has buried their son, daughter, or any father or mother because they were killed at the toll Gate.
The so-called apologist of these frustrated opposition members have all fled the country and refused to come out and give their so-called evidence of what transpired that very night.
Since the public destruction of properties in Lagos, the Lagos State Government has been doing its best in record time to recover from the challenges. We all saw the despicable burning of BRT buses and some other public infrastructures belonging to the Lagos State Government.
Tinubu left power as Lagos State Governor in 2007 and has not held a single public office since then. The Military Generals that ruined Nigeria and brought the country to its knees, their houses were not targeted, the party chairmen of the two political parties that have been ruling Nigeria since 1999 to date none of them were targeted.
Is it not people that are in charge of providing electricity to Nigerians? How many of them were targeted even when they perpetually put us in darkness.
Tinubu's rumoured presidential ambition has really caused a major headache for oppositional forces that if left unchecked might birth a dangerous twist in our polity.
Anyway, the Tinubu himself seems unperturbed with the antics of the opposition as the Former Lagos State Governor has elevated his game, he seems to be on top of the challenges.
As we approach the 2023 presidential elections there is a high probability that Tinubu would be a subject of heavy smear campaigns. It is believed that give and take the Jagaban would play a major role in who succeeds Buhari in 2023.
