The newly appointed Commander 2 Bde Uyo Akwa Ibom State, Brig Gen MN Inuwa assumed Command yesterday Fri 23 Apr 21. The Handing and Taking over Ceremony took place at the Brigade Headquarters Conference Room.
He took over from Brig Gen FU Mijinyawa who has been redeployed to National Defence College Abuja as a Directing Staff.
In his farewell remarks, the out gone Commander Brig Gen FU Mijinyawa thanked Officers of the Brigade for their maximum cooperation, dedication and commitment exhibited during his tenure as the Comd 2 Bde and urged them to replicate same to the incoming Comd. He described the incoming Commander Brig Gen MN Inuwa as a seasoned ,focused and dedicated Infantry Officer who has served in major units in the military with good wealth of experience capable of moving the Brigade forward.
Speaking during the handing and taking over, the incoming Commander, Brig Gen MN Inuwa congratulated the out gone Comd for a job well done and equally the Brigade Staff Officers for the achievement recorded during his time as the Comd 2 Bde.
He also urged the officers to accord the same cooperation and commitment to him so as to move the Brigade further towards achieving greater heights.
Brig Gen MN Inuwa is a member of 44 Regular Course. Before his current appointment, he was a Directing Staff at the National Defence College Abuja. Below are pictures of the ceremony.
